New Trailer For Tintin Has Characters And Story

Let’s have a good look at the CG puppets of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn and their actions, shall we? Not only does this trailer give us a good luck at the boy reporter, we also get to meet several of the supporting cast, and hear words coming out of their mouths. A real step up from the first teaser.

That’s not as creepy as I feared, but there’s still some odd movements going on, bits of activity that could use smoothing out. But there’s also lots of virtual camera shenanigans to pay off the use of performance capture, and a few of these shots just wouldn’t have been viable without certain CG tricks of this kind.

I’m thinking that, on balance, this one’s going to be pretty pleasing. The writing credits – Steven Moffat, Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish – are definitely all very encouraging.

Thanks to Dark Horizons for the trailer link.
