Panini Lose Rights To DC Comics In France

Panini Lose Rights To DC Comics In FrancePanini is a monster of a worldwide comics publisher, publishing Marvel titles in almost all territories, and DC rights in a number  as well.

Well, it appears that Panini will be losing the rights to publishing DC and Vertigo comics in France, one of the biggest and certainly the most prestigious comics markets in the world.

It's been grabbed by Media Participations, who will begin publishing at the beginning of 2012. Their very own DC Relaunch, as it were.

Quite a change in more ways that one as well, Media Participations are not a superhero publisher, but have sub brands Dargaud, Dupuis, Le Lombard and Kana, as well as publishing the long standing Blake And Mortimer, and Lucky Luke.

Whether they just want the Watchmen, Sandman and Preacher titles, or will continue the anthology monthly newstand comics that Panini publish is currently unknown.
