Marvel Hardcovers Hit British Newsstands
Hachette are launching a new range of Marvel hardcover collections of classic and modern stories for the British newsstand, as a partwork collection, in much the same way that Eaglemoss does with the Marvel and DC lead figurines.
Out now is the Coming Home story by Joe Michael Straczynski and John Romita Jr, for an introductory price of £2.99 ($5) but future volumes will be at £9.99 ($16), and include Chris Claremont and John Byrne's Dark Phoenix Saga and Warren Ellis and Adi Granov's Extremis.

Other named creators include Frank Miller, Brian Michael Bendis, Alan Moore, Mark Millar, Grant Morrison, Alan Davis, Frank Quitely, Mark Bagley, Bryan Hitch, Olivier Coipel and Todd McFarlane. So we can probably expect some Captain Britain, Ultimates and New X-Men in there to. And they do seem to have quite a few planned if this spine collage is anything to go by.

However it is also worth considering that Marvel declines to pay any royalties for work published outside of the USA. So if you want to reward the creators, you might want to buy the originals…
