An Intriguing Description Of The Prometheus Aliens Appears

There’s no secrecy any more, I’m afraid. Everything gets spilled on the internet sooner or later, more often sooner.

And how do I feel about this? I’m not entirely sure about the subtleties of the argument. But if I come across something that excites me, or makes me happy that I know it, or just leaves me puzzled and mystified but intrigued, I don’t know if I can resist sharing it – if only behind spoiler warnings.

So let’s do that now. If you don’t want some of the sort-of secrets of Ridley Scott’s Prometheus given up to you, then click away now. The rest of us can indulge in a gossipy report of some wondrous sights said to have been seen on and around the film’s set. SPOILERS follow.

The following comes from the Alien Prequel News blog (via Aint it Cool), so take it with whatever sized serving of salt you see fit. You can click over to their site for context, I just want to share this striking description of some aliens:

Though security on the set is very tight with the good weather, dock doors have been open and cast and crew have been enjoying lunch outdoors. I can confirm seeing 3 aliens having lunch. Not the whole costume but blueish costumes and the unmistakable heads hanging around their shoulders.

The alien heads were the same shape but no markings, only a plane bronze colour. As for the suits black boots and shoulder pads the rest was a Chelsea blue body suit could be for SFX, all the sets around the back of the bond stage have huge green chromokey maybe that’s a clue.

I have witnessed foam cut outs of unmistakable aliens all cut in half lengh ways so they could be in the floor walls etc and very much from the original film.

Oh, by “aliens”, they are so clearly referring to the Alien aliens.

The key verification of credibility is that the same snoop reports on two actors involved in the film, Emun Elliot as Chance and Benedict Wong as Ravel, and that Elliot’s casting is independently verifiable.

So, as we keep repeating, Prometheus is an Alien prequel, the production just wanted to pretend that it isn’t. It was never going to work. And besides, I’m happy that there’s a new Alien film coming, and that Ridley Scott is in charge. The combination makes me very happy.
