Images From Pedro Almodovar’s New Horror Film

The Skin I Am In, aka The Skin I Inhabit, aka La Piel que Habito is set for a Cannes unveiling. Would that I could be there.

Here’s how I set it up before:

The screenplay has been adapted from Thierry Jonquet’s novel Tarantula, originally Mygale.

I’ve not read the book, I’m afraid, but I do know that it’s quite full of… ‘deviant’ behaviour. Human Centipede deviant? Actually… I don’t know what to say about that, because I’d hate to spoil anything, but I think I’ve caught whiff of a rather audacious, moderately barmy twist that Almodovar is going to have a hard time hiding from viewers.

The film stars Antonio Banderas and Elena Anaya, both of whom I’m very fond of.

Will you pick up on any clues to that barmy twist in these three images?

These three images appeared at Abando, with thanks to Little Bleeder MK for the link. Previously: other images, though with less tiger masks.
