That’s right – from tomorrow afternoon, there’s going to be an online mini-episode, apparently written by Steven Moffat and introducing some of the big ideas from the next series.
This prequel has a trailer, and here it is:
How very… stylish. Ahem.
The BBC also last night premiered a trailer for the new series proper. It went out at 9pm on their many channels, and has also been posted online. Here’s that one:
Mysterious. But maybe there’s another secret hidden here too.
According to victor_02, posting to the Gallifrey Base forum, an alternate version of the trailer was screened on some channels in some regions. He provided a pair of screen captures to prove his point, and here they are – firstly, the “normal version”, and secondly, the “haunted alternative”
Creepy.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this chap, however. He made a very fleeting appearance in the full series 6 trailer, look:
…but just because he’s been hanging around a while, it doesn’t mean you won’t see him over your shoulder the next time you look in a mirror.
