How A Comic Professional Makes A Living In 2011

Peter Bagge, Mike Grell. Michael Oeming. Phil Foglio. Jason Janicki and Leigh Kellogg. Sounds like a San Diego Comic Con panel?

It's actually a Seattle panel talking the art and the industry of creating a graphic novel. And there's not even a comic convention to go along with it. It's on this Saturday from 1pm to 5pm at the Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle.

Tickets can be preordered here, but you're looking at $25 for non-members in advance.

The panel will run one and a half hours, with half an hour questions and answers and then individual fifteen minute portfolio reviews for $20 extra.

How to make it in comics? Be successful enough so that people will pay you $20 to look at your portfolio…
