Cast For Terry Gilliam’s The Wholly Family Revealed

Shooting has started in Naples today on Terry Gilliam’s latest project, The Wholly Family*. Some Little Bleeders in Italy have been putting glasses against the wall at Sottocorno Studios and telling┬áme what they hear.

Today’s big news is that Gilliam’s key cast have been announced. The star of the film is Cristiana Capotondi, apparently famous in Italy for a few well-seen TV roles and now becoming a better and better known name in cinema. That’s Ms. Capotondi in the image at the head of the post. Alongside her we can expect to see Douglas Dean, Nicolas Connolly and Sergio Solli.

The film will be shooting for the rest of the week in Milan. Surely somebody out there is going to see something? And somebody must have a camera? Hello? Anybody?

Apparently, Gilliam’s theme in the film is both the love and the frustration that will be fostered in a family. Interesting…

*I’m told that there could be a title change coming. We’ll see.
