Doctor Who, Sherlock, The Incredibles… And Legally Blonde? It’s The 2010 iPlayer Chart

The BBC have revealed the year’s most requested TV programs and films via the iPlayer. Here’s the top 20 – note how the first appearance by the eleventh Doctor is way, way out in front.

20 Madness In The Fast Lane 10-Aug-10, BBC One, 720,000

Quite a big pair of wins for Steven Moffat there, placing in first and third. And a result for geeks like me too, I suppose, if the BBC are encouraged to keep supporting him, his shows, and others like them.

What surprises me most of all is the high ranking of these car programs like Top Gear and Madness In The Fast Lane. Consider my prejudices about iPlayer adjusted accordingly.

I’ve looked up who was on this particular episode of Live at the Apollo, and it turns out Alistair McGowan was the host with Kevin Bridges and Reginald D. Hunter as the two guests. Put it on your CV, guys.
