First Image From Crazy, Stupid Love With Steve Carell And Ryan Gosling

Recently postponed from Spring until Summer, Crazy, Stupid Love is the next picture from Glenn Ficarra, John Requa and Dan Fogelman. Between them they’ve been responsible for Bad Santa, I Love You Philip Morris and Tangled. Add to this the cast, which includes Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Kevin Bacon and Julianne Moore and you’ll actually see drool starting to build up and drip from my hanging jaw. It’s almost like they made it just for me.

Today, we got our hands on the first image from the film… and it’s almost like Warner Bros. chained an anvil onto the bottom of my rocketing expectations. I’m sure it’s not a reflection on the finished film but there’s just no indication of drama in this still at all. Sure, it tells us two of the actors who are in the film, and it confirms the film isn’t a Western or an animation, but… what else does it reveal? A little it about the clothing and drinks tastes of the characters. And that’s pushing it.

Always seems strange to me when an image like this is sent out as the first envoy for a movie.
