Lea Michele Might Have Decided On New Year’s Eve For Her Cinematic Coming Out

Technically, Lea Michele is already in production on her first big screen feature as she’s providing the lead voice in Dorothy of Oz, an animated musical with Bryan Adams songs. But, for any number of reasons, we might want to discount that.
So her “real” big screen debut could well be in New Year’s Eve. This is the sequel to Valentine’s Day, Garry Marshall’s ensemble rom-com of earlier in the year. Actually, having said that, there’s good reason to discount New Year’s Eve too.
According to E!, Marshall is keen to get Zac Efron to make an appearance in the picture having wanted him for the first installment but ending up with Taylor Lautner instead. Okay – it would be trade up. I’d be keen to make that swap too. The other names they toss out, admittedly with a big red R for rumour pinned on them, are Justin Bieber, Reese Witherspoon and Halle Berry.
There’s no indication of what the film might be about other than the bloody obvious – it will be an ensemble romatic comedy set on New Year’s eve. Actually, I could probably go ahead and review it for you now if you wanted.
My best guess is that the film will hit US cinemas on Christmas Day of next year. Or they might just hold back for the 30th of December if they’re feeling daring.*
*These are the producers and distributors of a sequel to Valentine’s Day. The word Daring isn’t in their dictionary.
