Zatanna Gets All Mixed Up

Zatanna Gets All Mixed UpWell, she is a magician. Weird things are going to happen with solicitations.

Issue 6 of Zatanna was solicited, written by Paul Dini with art by Yanick Paquette. Yanick has now been replaced with Jesus Saiz – who was meant to draw issue 7 with Paul Dini.

Issue 7 will now be written by Adam Beecham with earlier series artists Chad Hardin and Wayne Faucher and a cover by Jesus Saiz. The solicitations have changed too. Paul's story for #7 would have been;

While touring the world with her father as a child, Zatanna was nearly killed by a sinister puppetmaster named Oscar Hempel. But Hempel died long ago – didn't he? If he's dead, then who's pulling the strings of that remarkably evil-looking puppet over there? Don't miss this twisty, creepy thriller!

While Adam's version reads as follows;

Zatanna just doesn't like L.A. Never did, never will. Attending the opening of Hollywood's new Magic Museum, filled with artifacts and costumes from the world's greatest sorcerers, is more of a chore than a vacation. But she'll be surprised by what she finds there — both a connection to her father, and a truly bizarre threat that she never saw coming! They say the clothes don't make the man… but what happens when the clothes have other ideas? It's one of Zatanna's weirdest adventures yet, in this done-in-one!

While Zatanna 8, previously;

Written by PAUL DINI
Art by CLIFF CHIANG
Cover by STEPHANE ROUX
Long-dead killer puppeteer Oscar Hempel is back from the grave, and there's nothing he wants more than revenge on the prey that got away – Zatanna Zatara! But does Zee even remember what she did to him? And what a time for her lifelong fear of puppets to come rushing back!

Now becomes

"Pupaphobia," an all-new three-part adventure. Everybody's got that one thing that just creeps them out beyond all reason. (Yours is clowns, we know. It's okay.) For Zatanna Zatara, it's puppets: "Creepy, horrible, soul-sucking puppets." But why is one of the most powerful sorcerers on Earth scared of little wooden men in cheap suits? Finding out is what's got Zee back in therapy… but she might not uncover the truth before the truth comes gunning for her.

With the same creative team. Maybe it's time for a "TROS TUO RUOY SWEIVERP NOITATICILOS!" spell
