A couple of minor updates on a pair of comics-to-film adaptation films we can expect to go before cameras next year.
First up, the next Wolverine picture. Apparently, Hugh Jackman has claimed that the film will be going before cameras next March or April. According to The Daily Blam he dropped the dates when appearing on TV in Uruguay. This all adds up – the hunt for a director has recently become quite a serious concern.

And now, Christian Bale. We’ve got some idea that the next Batmovie will film in the spring, so it would stand to reason then that his thoughts would be turning soon to dietary restrictions and exercise regimes, and according to Showbiz Spy that’s exactly the case:
“So far it’s all hush-hush and even Christian doesn’t fully know what the movie will be like,” reveals a movie insider, ”But he’s already working with a trainer and a dietitian to get the right look for Batman and Bruce Wayne in this movie. He plans to be fitter than ever.”
The upshot of all of this? Nothing we didn’t expect, I suppose – the next Wolverine and Batman movies are on track for 2012. I know which one I’m most looking forward to, but fingers crossed that they’re both real crackers.
