Fantagraphics To Publish Jacques Tardi’s Le Démon Des Glaces

Considered Tardi’s most impressive book, Le Démon Des Glaces – or The Arctic Marauder to give it its English translated name – is planned for release in  its first English edition, in April from Fantagraphics.

This Jules Verne-inspired steampunk romp tied in with Tardi’s Adèle Blanc-Sec that Fantagraphics is also now publishing in light of the new film.

It won Tardi the Best Artist Award at Angoulême.

And now, as well as admiring the art, English mono-linguists will be able to work out what is going on too!

Below you can find a few untranslated snatches to wet your appetite.
