Learn How To Make Comics With Paul Levitz

Learn How To Make Comics With Paul LevitzMoCCA, the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art in New York has a host of masterclasses in the months ahead. From drawing hands, to writing jokes to animation storyboards.

And on December 6th at 6.30pm for two hours, The Long And Short Of Plotting by Paul Levitz. Admission is $40, or $35 for MoCCA members.

Paul Levitz is well known for pioneering a matrix for telling multiple soap-opera style plots in comic books, constantly overlapping – a practice that has been much abandoned these days as the six issue-to-trade paperback format demands separate chunks and satisfying endings.

But work by the likes of Grant Morrison on Batman of late has given this kind of approach a new momentum.

Other classes include lessons by R. Sikoryak and Kriota Willberg, Stephen Destefano, Arie Kaplan, David Steven Cohen and Danny Fingeroth.
