Once upon a time, Pixar’s Brave, formerly The Bear and the Bow, was set for release in late 2011. For whatever reason, this has now been delayed until the summer of 2012. Torture.
Brenda Chapman’s film will be both the first Pixar film to have a woman in charge behind the scenes, and also to have another as the lead character. Indeed, it seems like both the protagonist (Reese Witherspoon) and antagonist (Julie Walters) are female. Much ink will be spent on discussing this, I’m sure.
