X-Men To Shoot In Reading?
Monopoly fans may be surprised to find out that there’s more to Reading than just its railroad, apparently. A location scout from 20th Century Fox was seen nosing about Reading University this month taking snaps of its 60s era architecture, which might slot in rather nicely as a flashback setting for the upcoming X-Men prequel.
If so, then About a Boy‘s Nick Hoult (a.k.a. the young Hank McCoy) would certainly have a short commute from his home village only a few minutes away. Hoult, who auditioned and got the role of the young Beast a few weeks back, told the Reading Post that he has just started training.
It’s just about getting prepared as much as I can in the very short time I have before we start filming.
As to when and where they’re filming exactly, young Mr Hoult has been told to keep shtum.
But is this location an excuse to get Ricky Gervais in the film? He was in Stardust after all. Maybe he could play Maggott.
