To me, Edi Gathegi is House‘s Big Love; to most of the rest of the web, it seems, he is Laurent from Twilight; to Matthew Vaughn and the X-Men: First Class team, he’s Darwin. Deadline got the scoop.
Talk about a loaded name for a mutant. And it’s extra symbolic too as he’s a “reactive mutant”, who changes his biology in response to changes in his environment. Flush his head down the loo, he grows gills. Set fire to his jacket, his skin becomes fireproof. Kick him out of the airlock and his brain stops asking for oxygen. Put him in front of a TV set with the second season of Heroes on and he drops a hundred IQ points.
But then again, didn’t we all?
