Meet Genndy Tartakovsky’s Sym-Bionic Titan

Genndy Tartakovsky’s new toon series Sym-Bionic Titan is set to be unveiled officially at Comic-Con next Saturday. Here’s the listing for that panel:

1:45-2:45 Cartoon Network: Action Adventure Animation— Meet the creators and talent behind some of Cartoon Network’s biggest boy heroes, Ben 10 and Generator Rex. From Man of Action meet Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau, and Steven T. Seagle along with the Ben 10: Ultimate Alien team members Glenn Murakami (supervising producer), Dwayne McDuffie (story editor), Yuri Lowenthal (voice of Ben), and Greg Cipes (voice of Kevin). Generator Rex panelists include John Fang (supervising producer), Rob Hoegee (story editor), Daryl Sabara (voice of Rex), and Wally Kurth (voice of Agent Six). Also make sure not to miss a first look at Sym-Bionic Titan with Genndy Tartakovsky, Bryan Andrews, Paul Rudish, and Darrick Bachman. Room 6DE

Ahead of that “first look” some art work from the show has been posted by Kevin Dart, one of the show’s artists. Here’s some highlights, though there’s more samples on his own blog, including a rough layout and some background paintings.

The original press release has been gathering dust at the bottom of my inbox for some time now, but here’s how it pitched the show:

From creator Genndy Tartakovsky (Dexter’s Laboratory, Samurai Jack) comes an exciting hybrid of high school drama and giant robot battles. Sym-Bionic Titan follows the adventures of three beings from the planet Galaluna who crash-land on Earth while attempting to escape their war-torn world.
