New Trailer For The Social Network – With Actual Footage

Okay, this one will do for now. The latest trailer for David Fincher’s The Social Network has arrived and, at long last, shows actual footage from the film – but not before a barrage of off-monitor imagery scored to a cover of Radiohead’s Creep by The Scala Choir (how Fincher).
The moment when the trailer slips from being a montage of screen activity into being a more conventional trailer is a little awkward and bumpy, but things smooth out fairly quickly afterwards. The dialogue is very fizzy indeed, and I found myself drawn right in to the performances. Credit too for Jeff Cronenweth’s cinematography.
My negative impressions and doubts… well, I’m going to wait until I’ve seen the whole film. There might be a few interesting little giveaways and tells here and there, but I’m not going to snap at a trailer. Especially not one that exceeded my expectations so nicely.
