Joss Whedon Plus J J Abrams Equals…?

Here’s a beautiful bit of geek algebra for you. What happens when you add Joss Whedon to JJ Abrams? What do you get? A bit light headed for one thing, I bet. But what else?

We’re going to find out at Comic-Con. According to Hero Complex, the convention is going to play host to an Entertainment Weekly sponsored session that will bring a Bad Robot and a Mutant Enemy together at last.

Any reason for this panel? Joss is going to showrun the Alias reboot, is he? There’s probably not any specific project here, just a sense of fraternity between the two guys, and a willingness to self-promote on EW’s dollar.

Remember that Abrams has Super 8 and Star Trek 2 coming, and Joss will be Avengers-ing for quite some time, and besides, if they were actually to collaborate on something together, I don’t think they wouldn’t be able to announce it in person. Who’d want to make an entire front row pass out like that?

PS – I wuv you Joss.
