Marvel Crack Down On October Solicitation Details Till July 26th
Last year, Diamond Comics Distribution accidentlly released certain solicitation information for upcoming titles early – that basically robbed Marvel of a number of announcements at San Diego Comic Con 2009.
And gave Bleeding Cool one or two early scoops when other sites were caught napping.
I understand that a hard line is coming this year. That Diamond and other companies have been given a three line whip over the release of any information regarding all sorts of upcoming titles before July 26th. Including he information that there is even such an embargo in existence.
So that bit worked then.

Some people call that being overly precious. Others see it as taking sensible marketing measures in the modern communications society.

Me? I call it a challenge…

I understand that Marvel really want to announce the republication of Alan Moore and Garry Leach's Marvelman. But I also understand that, as it stands, that's unlikely to happen.
