Disney And Marvel Hit The French Bookstores

Disney comics are returning to bookstores in France.

They never left the newsstands, where they still sell tens of millions of copies a year, but collected volumes have been absent from bookstores for decades!

Glénat is the publisher who has signed the deal – which will make for some interesting meetiongs with rival publisher Hachette, which has has said newsstand/newsagent distribution rights for decades.

And in related news, Marvel’s global childrens book publishing line has now been absorbed into Disney – this French deal seems ideally placed to take advantage of that.
