Steve Oliff – A Real Hero

stevw This story does not have a happy ending.

But a few weeks ago, a truck crashed in Manchester, California and comic book colourist Steve Oliff was on hand to try and rescue the conscious driver from the resultant blaze. At risk to his life, Oliff tried to pull him from the blaze, without success and the driver died from the flames and fumes.

The Independent Coast Reporter writes that Oliff has been "grappling with the frustration and guilt of not being able to save [the driver's] life" but is encouraging people to carry fire extinguishers with them when they drive.
