Hernandez Bros, Gail Simone, Paul Gulacy And Joe Sinnott Attend Wonder Woman Days

This Sunday, Excalibur Comics in SE Portland will host Wonder Woman Day, officially declared on the city calendar by its mayor. Simultaneously, Comic Fusion in Flemington, New Jersey will be celebrating the same.

The Portland show will have a stack of notable comics artists and writers, including Gilbert and Jamie Hernandez, Paul Gulacy, Gail Simone and Aaron Lopresti, all of whom will be giving away specially created prints to attendees, while the New Jersey show will include Joe Sinnott, Chris Muller, Ken Haeser, Rob Kramer, and Buz Hasson.

There will be a silent auction of original artwork donated by creators and dealers across the country to help raise money to help those who have suffered of domestic violence, the Portland Show benefiting Raphael House of Portland, Bradley Angle and Portland Women's Crisis Line while the New Jersey show will benefit Safe In Hunterdon of Hunterdon County.

This is the fourth Wonder Woman Day event organised by comic creator Andy Mangels in association with his Wonder Woman Museum. And it's a family friendly occasion – the likelihood of anyone calling anyone else a "walking sperm bank" is low…
