Pretty much as premiered last night at Sony’s The Untold Story special events, here’s the first full trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man. This time there’s Lizard, there’s more back story and there’s a good sense of the “new” Peter Parker. I say “pretty much” because those of usat the events got to see it in…

We’ve finally been given a look at Loki’s forces in the new, extended trailer for The Avengers, as premiered online just after a cut-down version graced the Superbowl. Here are four screen grabs from the single shot in which they appear with any degree of clarity: So it’s not the Skrull or the Kree –…
“As some day it may happen that a victim must be found, I’ve got a little list–I’ve got a little list”
The List is the new Dark Reign mini-event-ish thing from Marvel starting in September.
Norman Osborn, the Green Goblin, and political masterplayer sits down and makes a list of all that is wrong with the world. Including many familiar Marvel characters. And sets out to fix them. He’s got a little list…
“Of society offenders who might well be underground, And who never would be missed–who never would be missed!”
So we see a series of $3,99 48 page oneshots, using the writers of the respective ongong series teamed with another big name artist. And Dark Reign: The List- The Avengers by Brian Bendis and Marko Djurdjevic kicks off the books. In this issue it’s the Avengers, the New Avengers, and Clint Barton, Hawkeye in particular, that he specifically decides he has to deal with.
“There’s the pestilential nuisances who write for autographs– All people who have flabby hands and irritating laughs–”
Sounds like any comics convention to me, Anyway, Dark Reign: The List- Daredevil by Andy Diggle and Billy Tan also ships in September and ties into Daredevil #500. Osborn has decided to deal with Matt Murdoch’s manor, Hell’s Kitchen. By sending Bullseye in to kill Daredevil.
“All children who are up in dates, and floor you with ‘em flat– All persons who in shaking hands, shake hands with you like _that_”
And then Dark Reign: The List - X-Men by Matt Fraction and Alan Davis ties into the fallout from Utopia. They’re keeping this one even more classified, folks.
Oh and talking of which, Dark Avengers/Uncanny X-Men: Exodus by Matt Fraction and Mike Deodato seems quite a key book as well, with the X-Men against Sentry and Ares, and lots of Emma Frost/Cyclops action for the party faithful. One of those status quo-changing books, that probably ties in with the previously mentioned Dark X-Men: The Confession by Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost.
“And all third persons who on spoiling tete-a-tetes insist – They’d none of ‘em be missed–they’d none of ‘em be missed!”
Future oneshot books will includeDark Reign: The List – Secret Warriors by Jonathan Hickman and Ed McGuinness, Dark Reign: The List – Wolverine by Jason Aaron and Esad Rebic, Dark Reign: The List – Hulk by Greg Pak and Ben Oliver, Dark Reign: The List – Punisher by Rick Remender and John Romita Jr all in October, Dark Reign: The List – Amazing Spider-Man by Dan Slott and Adam Kubert in November…
“He’s got ‘em on the list–he’s got ‘em on the list; And they’ll none of ‘em be missed–they’ll none of ‘em be missed.” – W.P.Gilbert, The Mikado.
I have had that bloody tune running through my head all night, you know. And now you can too. One minute fifty in…

When reporting early rumours about Before Watchmen, almost every name I was given turned out to be true – Darwyn Cooke, Brian Azzarello, JMS, Amanda Conner, JG Jones, Andy Kubert, Joe Kubert, Adam Hughes and John Higgins. There was another name that I dismissed as it was denied directly – that of Kevin Smith. His…
